Red Dragon based the design on their stage combat sabre on the military sabres of the 19th Century.
The RDA Sabre Fencing blades are durable enough for sports fencing and becoming increasingly popular with historical fencers and HEMA (historical european martial arts) practitioners.
Blade steel and lock type decide how the knife behaves day to day: softer stainless sharpens fast and needs frequent touch-ups, while high-vanadium grades hold an edge far longer but want diamond stones. Check the blade length against your state and local carry rules before ordering.
