The 4-Max Scout is crafted from 5mm thick AUS 10A steel, for strength, toughness and edge holding potential. The handles silhouette mirrors the original. Instead of a G-10 handle the 4 Max Scout has one made of Griv-Ex with stainless steel liners and a Griv-Ex back spacer.
Blade steel and lock type decide how the knife behaves day to day: softer stainless sharpens fast and needs frequent touch-ups, while high-vanadium grades hold an edge far longer but want diamond stones. Check the blade length against your state and local carry rules before ordering.
Sold under the Cold Steel name. The specification block above is published for this listing; check the dimensions against the item you are replacing before ordering.
