Our Katana is crafted from high carbon Damascus steel, heat-treated and blended for maximum hardness and durability. It comprises 11 pieces of steel, boasting a Rockwell hardness rating between 55 and 56 HRC. The high carbon steel used, 1095 steel, is the highest carbon steel typically used in swords, replicating the steel content of ancient Katana swords. The high carbon content allows the blade to maintain an edge, offering an incredibly hard sword with a hardness of 56-58 HRC. Although less flexible, this steel remains sharp even through high impact collisions.
The handle is skillfully made from wood and adorned with brass bolsters, providing a comfortable yet secure grip. The sword comes complete with a traditional wooden sheath for protection and easy storage.
